13 shades of Bb

For an improviser, being able to play any given shape in any given chord is, in my opinion, a very powerful tool.

In this post I apply some different melodic shapes over the most common types of chords in modern jazz all having Bb concert as fundamental .

 1) based on arpeggio ornamentation, 

2) 9th arpeggios in open position  

3) pentatonic shape    

4) motiv (the "lick", of course...)
