In October 1966 Bill Evans travels to Denmark for a concert with Danish singer Monica Zeterlund.
He travels with his regular bass player, Eddie Gomez. They are joined by 26 year old danish drummer Alex Riel, who had never played that repertoire.
Bill Evans will rehearses the trio and patiently teach Alex the songs .
The compositions are "Very Early,” “Who Can I Turn To,” “If You Could See Me Now” and the rhythm changes “Five".
What a great glimpse into the working process of a genius ! Priceless !
Enjoy!
